Established in 1981, by St John’s Parish as one of the first “open” pre-schools in Cape Town, the Educare believes that learning in fun.
 
We believe that each child is a unique individual and we are concerned about the development of the whole child. Our programme seeks to stimulate the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth of the child in a loving, caring environment. Children from our preschool group move into several different primary schools, well prepared to cope with the challenges of Grade R and Grade 1.
 
Children’s development is observed, and age-appropriate reports are issued two or four times per year depending on the child’s age. 
Our theme-based curriculum is stimulating and includes CAPS aligned Grade R full school readiness programme.
 
What we offer:
• Qualified and caring staff, who are first aid trained in a family-oriented atmosphere.
• Various options for parents to choose from to cater to their needs and are open throughout the year except for 10 working days over the December/January period.
• Our operating hours are from 7.15am – 5.30pm. The school caters to potty-trained 2.5- to 6-year-olds. Breakfast and an afternoon snack of fruit and bread is served. 
• Extra-curricular activities: Let’s Talk, Karate and Playball.
