About Us

Firstly, Little Kickers believes in an idea we call “Play not Push”. It means teaching football in a fun, pressure-free environment. We want to give children a positive introduction to sport so they’re more likely to stay healthy and active throughout their lives.

Secondly, we believe football can be educational. Coached in the right way it can stimulate imagination and aid early development skills such as learning colours and numbers, following instructions and playing as a team.

It’s an approach that has bagged us numerous awards and helped us expand globally over the last 12 years. And like all our Kickers, we never stop learning. We’re continually improving and updating our classes, based on feedback and input from child health specialists as well as our network of over 1,500 football coaches worldwide.

Accept no substitute

As the currency of the school yard, there's little doubt that football has a lot to offer the next generation of fleet-footed playground participants.

At Little Kickers the focus is very much on fun - a national network of informal yet professionally run training classes where enthusiastic boys & girls (18 months - 7 years old) are given a helping hand to stand on their own two feet.

Of course, we believe that a head start in sport is a fantastic investment in the future and naturally we'd be as pleased as punch if any of our former pupils go on to greater glories in the golden game. However, Little Kickers is not a guaranteed passport to football fame!  The real goal of Little Kickers, is to use football as a fun forum to instil our growing squad with a little extra confidence, co-ordination, control and sense of camaraderie; which we feel will stand them in very good stead for the future.

A very level playing field

We strongly believe that children learn best when put in age appropriate groups. Every game we play can be adapted to meet the developmental needs and ability of any class.

We have classes at venues in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs and elsewhere in South Africa (see our website) catering for 4 age groups, some open to all, and others specific to children enrolled in the school they are based at:

• Little Kicks: 18 months -  2.5 years
• Junior Kickers: 2.5 - 3.5 years
• Mighty Kickers: 3.5 - 5 years
• MEGA Kickers: 5 - 7 years

Classes run throughout the year, on both weekdays and weekends, so children of working parents are not excluded!
