At Hurly Curly we recognise that every young child is a unique gift. We pledge to nurture these gifts by providing a safe and stimulating environment where each child will delight in learning. Our goal is to generate positive relationships with peers and adults empowering emotional, social and academic growth.

Stimulating curriculum
We proudly offer a structured schedule that includes plenty of time for physical activity, quiet time such as daily reading sessions, group programs, individual activities, meals, snacks, and free time. We have a wide range of age-appropriate toys that will encourage your child’s development and stimulate creative, imaginative play.

Facilities
Use your senses to experience the Hurly Curly difference. While here you’ll see the evidence of learning on most of the walls, you’ll smell the cleanliness of well-maintained classrooms and you’ll hear the sounds of interaction and education. What you’ll feel is the satisfaction that comes from choosing the best for your child. We offer many different Extra Murals to ensure that all age groups and interests are catered for. Junior Jive, Ballet, Soccer Starz, Karate, Build em Brix and EQ Explore are offered on a weekly basis on school premises. All children attending Hurly Curly participate in “Buzzi Bodies” Program in order to make sure that all major muscle groups are developed adequately.

Staff
Hurly Curly is fortunate to have kept some of our dedicated staff for 18 years, so your child enjoys the attention of experienced teachers who love what they do (1:5 Ratio). Our employees continuously improve their knowledge and skill base to better help the children in their care. First Aid and CPR training is refreshed on an annual basis. We have teachers with a variety of qualifications from Bachelors Degrees in Special Needs Education through to Child Care Certificates for the assistants. Teachers attend regular training through SACE (South African Council of Educators), ETDP (Education, Training and Development Practices) RANSA (Rand Central Nursery School Ass) and other organisations in order to stay up to date with the latest developments in the industry.

Safety
Your child’s safety is our primary concern, here are just a few examples of the measures we take to keep your child safe.

Our front entrance is locked at all times. Only our parents and staff have an individual code which allows them access into the school.
We have a dedicated security guard to watch over you while dropping off your precious cargo.
We require the names and photos and ID's of people authorized to pick-up your child.
