How to develop children: On top of the normal curriculum of a pre-primary school, additional activities like playball, ballet, cricket, rugby, pottery, gymnastics, art, etc. are implemented. These are presented by private contractors and parents pay extra for it.
Staff: Teachers and class assistants are at all times professional and their performance is regularly being assessed. Regular training of staff is done.
Management staff: Disci-school is managed by a principal, a secretary to develop a proper administration system and a bookkeeper who ensures financial management.
Non-profit organization (NPO): Disci-school is a NPO to keep school fees affordable and all profits are ploughed back into the school.
Additional skills: We teach kids additional skill like gardening, caring for animals, washing dishes, how to make a bed, personal hygiene, appropriate behaviour, arts, crafts, singing, how to change a tyre, needle work, cooking, etc. We can use the church as an auditorium, get home schooling kids together, offer computer classes and help young adults to find work.
Name of Disci-school: The church decided on Disci-school as we want to teach discipline to kids and teach them what discipleship is all about.
Progress since October 2023: Since October, we have painted the entrance hall and classes, the after care is now separate from the pre-school, new equipment has been distributed to classes, there is a staff meeting every second Thursday at 10h30. Six new cots were donated, the maintenance manager has improved the building significantly, a plant based diet demo was arranged, two new staff members have been appointed, the creche and class rooms are now accessible to parents, a washing machine was bought, the entrance foyer has been made child friendly and modernised.
Basics of a school: We believe that every successful school must implement the four R’s: Reading, Writing, Arythmatic, Religion.

Parent Committee: Parents volunteered their involvement on a parent committee and suggested the following:
• Tuck shop by children every second Friday;
• Sports day;
• Concert;
• Better communication between parents and staff;
• Parents to hand over and fetch children in the classroom;
• Parents to do voluntary work at Disci-school.
The Parent Committee has been established and will meet once a month.

Parents are welcome to visit Disci-school before enrolling children. The school fees are about 50% of other pre-schools. We are open during school holidays implementing a holiday programme. Breakfast, snacks and lunch is included.
